I came into the episode prepared to see Kyouichi's death but at the same time was wondering how things were going to go if he really gets killed and lo and behold, Kyouichi runs away and calls the worst person possible for Tetsuo.

This is far from over and I am more concerned for the safety of Tetsuo's family since Matori seems like the real ruthless kind.

It was interesting to learn how Kasen was able to break into Kyouichi's place, Tetsuo really thought things through like buying a separate ladder to make as little noise as possible.

But damn, it kind of sucks that Kyouichi is smart enough to put things all together like that, I found myself dreading him getting closer and close to the truth because I could see it coming lol.

In this instance he is innocent so it makes sense he would desperate and use his brain to the fullest even as he was bleeding out. I have no idea how this season will end, it'll depend on if Matori believes Kyouichi I guess.

It’s kinda irritating that he so effortlessly put two and two together like that though, tbh. Like when I saw him taking that exact same path up for absolutely no reason since he still ended up going down, I just knew it was about to be some contrived bs. But noticing scratches on a balcony? He himself said he’s barely there, so how would he know if they were new or not? Birds could’ve left those, but he just immediately knows someone broke in that way?

I was surprised when the guys backed off just because Kyouichi shouted for help when the police are on their payroll. If he could just do that, then what was the point of scattering the money?

And don’t get me started with how a pinned, wounded, bleeding out man was able to wind up enough strength to not only back-kick someone in the back of the head, but to outrun two other men as well.

And not to mention, he is still bleeding. How he atleast not passed out. He shouldn't be able to stand, forgetting about running.

Made sense to me though. He's plenty smart, he knew for a fact that someone has put the evidence in his safe within the last day, and he had probably thought about how one could break into his apartment before (considering he made the door pick-proof). Plus a heavy adrenaline spike and this one question of HOW being the single most important issue in his possibly almost over life.
Plus, probably no one cleans the top of those balcony separator things like ever. A layer of city dust would make a fresh scratch quite a bit more obvious.

If Kyoichi fails to fully gain Nobutos father's trust, that might actually be his best option right now - make it look like Tetsuo and Kyoichi killed each other, and disappear. Difficult to ensure Tetsuos familys safety tho.

Or just eliminate Nobutos father.

I feel like that would need another season, dude seems smarter than everyone else and is crazy from pain.
